Christmas 2014!!!
This year we were blessed to have The Felsted family visit us and spend the night for Christmas eve activities.
The Rockwood family also came up on Christmas eve. The boys soon learned that if you mess with aunt Jennifer then you are going to get wrestled!
We had a full house! There were 17 of us! We did Italian style dinner.
Then we had a Dance party of coarse!
We played the 12 days of Christmas game. I played this 20 years ago when I was a young girl at my grandmas Christmas eve party, and always had good memories of it. We had a really fun time singing and this is what we can up with:
After the party the boys opened their Christmas pjs, and excitedly went to bed after lots of hugs and kisses.
David and I were ready for bed too! but we had a lot of work to do to get Christmas ready. We drilled in the cupboard for Brigder's kitchen
Then we put up this shelf and David attached the knobs for Asher's Costume hanger, and then put it on the wall.
Titus' toy was easy to set up. We went to bed very excited for our boys to have their Christmas.
Asher woke us up at 7:30, and then he got his brothers up.
We have adopted the tradition David grew up with of giving the kids their favorite name brand sugary cereal as one of the gifts. This year the boys were with me at the store when I got them so I let them pick it out. Bridger insisted on the off brand walmart fruity puffs even after I showed him the cooler looking name brand one.
He was very excited for his fruity puffs!
Asher opened his book and said "one of my favorite books!" He didn't even mention that it wasn't a Pokemon book like he though it was. Then when they had opened up all of the toys, and thought they were done I read them a note from Santa that told them to go down stairs to see more surprises.
They were very excited and really enjoyed their gifts! They played with them all day!
The book we gave to Bridger was "Christmas from Heaven" based on the true store about the candy bombers. We read it in the afternoon. Bridger loved all of the airplane pictures. In the back of the book it had a page that taught you how to make a candy parachute. Asher wanted to make them right away, so we did. Then they dropped them off the couch and down to each other on the stairs.
At our Christmas eve party the day before we had a snowflake making contest. There was no snow outside at that point, but our snowflakes were such a good omen that by Christmas night we had a lot of real snow!
This morning we went and played in it. We enjoyed that quite feeling that comes when you go outside after freshly fallen snow.

Another tradition that me grandma would do was to have colored popcorn balls by the door that we could take home when we left her Christmas party. So I did that too! After the party the boys opened their Christmas pjs, and excitedly went to bed after lots of hugs and kisses.
